2019 Grand Mint Parade

Hello Sea Lion families, past and present!

We are very excited to once again have a float in the St. Johns Grand Mint Parade. As the 2019 Mint Festival theme is 'Back Through the Years', we would love to show off the success of our program by having swim alums, along with current Sea Lions, march in the parade with us to hand out candy along the route. Our 'float' will be pool themed, with our very own mini-pool in the back of a pickup truck.  Don't worry, we are working hard to make this safe, and we guarantee it will be fun! Spots in the truck are limited, so please respond quickly if your child would be interested in a truck seat.

We encourage all parade marchers to wear Sea Lion shirts, swim suits (for the brave), and any other swim gear like caps and goggles. Also, if you have water wings, pool noodles, or festive inner-tubes, bring those as well!

The parade is Saturday, August 10 at 10 am and covers about 1 mile. You will be done by lunchtime. Please respond if you are interested in joining us and we will share more details!

Update:  Sea Lions planning to walk with us in this Saturday's parade:

We will be lining up in the field next to Oakview South Elementary School at the corner of Lansing and Townsend.  We will be assembling starting at 9am and we are parade entry #62. Remember to wear sea lions shirts, goggles, towels, pool toys, etc.
We hope to see everyone there!
Go Sea Lions!
Update:  Sea Lions swimmer, Savannah Butler has been crowned Little Miss Mint for 2019.  Great job Savannah!
